It would be also good to send some photos or videos with your current state of hair. This information will help Dr. Resul Yaman to make a preliminary examination of your donor and recipient areas. After receiving your initial message, our translators generally respond within 10 minutes to one hour. However, the reaction time depends on the moment of contact. Messages that are sent at night in Turkey can be answered in the morning of the next day because of the difference in time zones.

Preliminary Medical Assessment by Dr. Resul Yaman

The information and photographs you submit are forwarded to Dr. Resul Yaman for evaluation. Based on the doctor’s opinion, our team sends the preliminary assessment to you. This assessment may include:

The evaluation whether you are a candidate for hair transplantation.
The estimation of the number of grafts required.
Whether the procedure is possible in one session or more.
How your existing medical conditions may influence the procedure.
The necessity of additional medical examination in case of your current medications.

Medication-related recommendations are based on your medical history and the doctor's assessment. Patients should not stop or change prescribed medications without appropriate medical advice.

Why is a Video Consultation Important?

On our website, there is a calculator allowing our visitors to estimate their grafts. However, the information you can get as a result of the preliminary examination of Dr. Resul Yaman by using photographs and video consultation will be more clinically relevant than the information from the online calculator alone.

We especially recommend performing video consultation before booking the surgery. The assessment of photographs is very useful but it will not provide you the same level of interaction as the video consultation. The video call will make the preliminary examination more complete and give both sides the understanding of treatment expectations.

It is important to know that the estimate of grafts that you can get before your visit is not the final one. The exact number of grafts is determined during your in-person examination in the clinic. The initial estimate can be changed after examination of your hair shaft thickness, hair characteristics, donor density, and other clinical parameters.

In some cases, hair thickness or some hair characteristics can increase the number of your grafts. Importantly, an increase in the final graft number following the clinical examination does not result in an additional charge to the patient.

Yaman CRM is the software application accessible to Dr. Resul Yaman from his personal computer and mobile phone. This software application allows the doctor to follow the patient inquiries, see the provided information and control the communication process during the preliminary examination.

How to Book an Appointment?

Dr. Resul Yaman performs a limited number of hair transplants per day. As a doctor involvement clinic, the number of hair restoration procedures performed in our clinic per day is limited.
Consequently, the date of appointment may extend one month or even longer ahead. We recommend you contacting our clinic at least one month before your preferred surgery date to have enough time for planning.
Sometimes, some patients who already booked the surgery may need to change their date for personal or other reasons. In this case, some available dates can appear. If the date that you prefer is not free, you can ask our team about these changes.
After the agreement on the date of surgery considering your availability and doctor's schedule, you need two things to book the appointment. The first thing is your information about the flight ticket. The second thing is at least 10% of the agreed package price paid as the deposit. Your surgery date is not booked until we receive your flight ticket and deposit.
After the date booking, your patient coordinator will arrange your accommodation and will send you the necessary information about it. Our team also organizes your airport pickups and transfers between airport, hotel, and clinic. Therefore, we will arrange the main logistical details before your arrival in Turkey.

Hotel Accommodation and Airport Transfers

We works with three to four different five-star hotels located near our clinic. You can choose one of these hotels with the assistance of your patient coordinator. There is also a possibility that you would like to stay in a different hotel. Then you should let your coordinator know about that.

In case if you make your reservation without using the hotel from our package, it is you who is to take responsibility for it. But our clinic is ready to organize your transportation from the selected hotel to the clinic. It is sufficient for us to be informed about the reservation details in advance.

We recommend choosing the hotel from our partner hotels. The advantage of these hotels is the convenient location if you need medical assistance or an additional clinical assessment during your stay in Turkey. Before your arrival to Turkey, your patient coordinator informs you about the preoperative information and sends your documents for the hotel reservation, its booking confirmation and other necessary arrangements.

Our clinic arranges the airport transfer using its own vehicles. These vehicles have the necessary authorizations for the international health tourism and passenger transportation.

There are two airports in Istanbul and we arranges the patient pickups from both of them. Istanbul Airport (IST) is located in the distance of 30 minutes travel from our clinic. The duration of transfer from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) depends on the traffic situation and varies up to one hour. Istanbul is a big metropolitan city and the duration of the transfer may vary depending on the traffic level and arrival time of the passenger.

After the confirmation of your flight ticket, the schedule of your pick-ups is arranged. Your car will take you from the airport to your hotel or clinic according to the previously scheduled time.

Your First Visit and Preoperative Consultation

If your flight arrives during the working hours of the clinic, you can visit our clinic one day before the surgery to meet Dr. Resul Yaman and to perform your first in-person consultation. During this appointment, the doctor can examine your recipient and donor areas more closely and review the preliminary surgical plan. Otherwise, if your flight arrives at night or outside working hours in Turkey, your consultation will be arranged on the next day.
